How To Stop Apps From Opening On Startup Windows

This seems to be an emerging bug in Edge, there have been many reports of this today

One of the moderators have created a thread on the Edge Developers forum, so the Edge Dev squad will encounter that and they will investigate this issues.

In the meantime, lease open the Edge feedback panel (Alt + Shift + i) and report this bug there for the development team

As if that was non bad enough, when the Microsoft Start screen is displayed and I click on a news item, I don't get the text for the item (the Macrosoft Showtime screen is just refreshed).

I have copied this from Rockydean, he put the effect in words just right. Thank you lot

When I bring up MS Edge, the first screen shows various news items I tin can click on. I retrieve this is the MSN screen. When I click on whatsoever of the news items, it brings up the "Microsoft Outset" screen. It just started doing this today (1-4-22).

I googled this and found tons of information and tried a couple of things but neither helped:

o Right clicked on the lesser of screen (tools bar) and turned off "News And Interests".

o Uninstalled the Microsoft News app.

Tin someone tell me something that volition actually do what I want (stop the Microsoft Start screen whenever I click on a news item from my initial Edge screen) ?

I'k having the aforementioned trouble. When I see a news story I want to open and click on it, the "Microsoft Starting time" tab opens instead of the news story. Only started today. Very frustrating! I promise someone comes up with a prepare shortly.

I did the microsoft update to microsoft 11 and the consequence stopped.... for now. hopefully information technology wont render.
