Excellent Product

Used this product recently as brush cleaner, it was excellent, removed paint effortlessly. Once paint was removed i washed the brush in warm water and it was good t go again! However it is expensive for the amount in the tin.
poor

I bought this last week (from B&Q) and found it next to useless for cleaning brush after painting with Hammerite black. cheaper to replace the brush
Worthless. Does nothing.

A brush was used with Hammerite paint for 10 mins. I poured some of this solvent into a tin and put the brush in, swished it around, stubbed it on the bottom of the tin. Nothing happened - all the paint remained on the brush, none dissolved into the liquid. I always knew white spirit, meths and nail varnish remover were no good for Hammerite but when their own proprietary solvent won't do anything at all to paint which is unset, it's back to throwing the brush away.
This rubbish is going back to B&Q.
Not as good as the original solution.

Have used Hammerite thinners before, albeit some time ago and noticed this time that cleaning brushes was a lot more difficult. Mixture no longer contains xylene, possibly 'cos it's a carcinogen?
